Seem Darnell isn't really that popular like 2000s day.
Even I tried to help him get to Mugen Pico School Fighting Game. he still not popular as Pico, Nene, Cassandra.
Piconjo and Otis has their own thing. But Darnell didn't gotten enough Screentime times for his own stand alone without Pico and Nene around.
I mean is not 2000-2019 anymore.
After Fnf Weekend 1 came out he only just there to fight Pico.
Darnell got outshine by Nene, Cassandra, and also Boyfriend (Mostly main reason BF is one we see less Darnell).
2020s is very different compare to 2000s content.
Pico, Nene, Darnell has been many content for many years ago and some fan wanted diffierent character like Cassandra, more Otis, more Piconjo, more Goth Punks and other Pico Characters.
I get some fans wanted something different.
The Content of Pico Day is doesn't doing well.
We seen too many Pico himself, NG Crossover character Tankman, FNF Boyfriend who should stay out of it, some fans upset about think BF is more like a Darnell/Otis replacement of Pico duo.
I wish there more bonding Pico and Darnell together because they are best friend for over 20 years.
I'm not the one don't care about the relationship with Pico and Boyfriend because they are boring and overused. They are running out idea their like many character to pick that isn't Pico and Bf stuff.
The Pico Content in modern era should make some new idea use some side character and bring back the old newgrounds character.
I do had big plan for Pico School Fighting Game for 10 years project featuring over 30 characters. There will be a chance to see new games with big project.
